In the last two years,
the concept of facility for the studies of nano-technology and nano-sciences
at the Centre has been developed. This facility will be used for thin
film growth and their characterization, and manipulation of atoms. It
will be a natural facility and will be used by all groups in Pakistan
working in the field of Condensed matter Physics. At present, the Centre
has connected six expatriates Pakistani settled abroad (USA, UK) who
have given their consent to spend two months every year at this
facility. The expatriates have also promised that they will be able to
arrange some equipments and modest funding for outside Pakistan for this
facility. |
