National Centre for Physics with a mission to break the
scientific isolation in Pakistan, is going to organize its
annual International Scientific Spring (ISS) in March 2010. This
is in continuation of a series of such events to promote science
and research in all parts of the country, especially in the
under privileged universities of Pakistan. The idea of putting
together different fields of physics at a single platform was
overwhelmingly appreciated in the “First Scientific Spring -
2009”. This activity provided an opportunity to young students
and researchers to present their work at a forum of experts and
critiques. Holding of such events not only creates an atmosphere
of healthy competition among young students and researchers, but
it also evokes a sense of generating quality work.
There will be three
plenary lectures on different topics from 0900 - 1230 hrs daily.
After lunch parallel sessions of different subjects will be
held. The young students and researchers will closely interact
with international experts of their relevant subjects during the
parallel sessions.
Conference Venue:
National Centre for Physics, Shahdrah Valley Road, Islamabad.
