PK-NCP node is upgraded to LCG-2_3_1 in March  2005. This was the third upgrade since its first deployment in May 2004.

To commemorate World Year of Physics 2005, COMSATS has organized a two-day international seminar on "Physics in our Lives" on February 23-24, 2005, Islamabad in collaboration with Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) and National Centre for Physics (NCP), Quaid-i-Azam university campus.
