The IT Directorate of the National Centre for Physics (NCP) organized a Cyber Security Awareness & Digital Resilience session on 21 July 2026 in collaboration with the National Cyber Emergency Response Team (National CERT) Pakistan. The session was delivered by Mr. Khurram Javed, Director and Ms. Zaheema Iqbal, Assistant Director, National CERT Pakistan, who shared expert insights on the evolving cyber threat landscape and the importance of strengthening digital resilience. The presentations highlighted the role of cybersecurity awareness in protecting individuals and organizations against emerging cyber risks.
The speakers covered a wide range of topics, including phishing, ransomware, online scams, cyber harassment, AI-generated deepfakes, protection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII), digital footprint management, financial fraud prevention, responsible use of digital technologies, and best practices for online safety. The session enhanced participants' understanding of current cybersecurity challenges and reinforced the importance of adopting secure digital practices to safeguard personal and organizational information.
