Introduction

Centre for Earthquake Studies is organizing a one day symposium on contemporary topics and recent trends in Earthquake Studies on 24 September, 2018. This symposium will cover scientific lectures on latest advancements in the field of seismology and allied disciplines, specially earthquake forecasting. The event will provide an excellent opportunity for students and researchers to interact with renowned experts in the field of earth sciences. It will enhance collaboration amongst national institutes and awareness of earthquake forecasting research in Pakistan.

Format

Participation

Active graduate & post graduate students, post-doctoral researchers, faculty and research scientists, who have published research work in recognized international journals during the last three years, will be encouraged to participate. Local hospitality will be provided to the participants. As a rule, travel expenses of the participant will be borne by their home institutes. However, partial travel assistance may be provided to selected local participants residing outside Islamabad.

How to apply

Registration Form can be download from here. The scanned copy of application form should be sent via email to (caad@ncp.edu.pk) on or before 05 September, 2018 to the Activity Secretariat at NCP. All applicants are required to provide information about their CNIC in the application form. There is no registration fee. List of accepted participants will be posted on the NCP website accordingly.
